The Alderman is a two-bedroom, one-bath home a short walk from downtown Sheridan. It’s named for the man who owns it — a former Wyoming state senator and town mayor. That history shows in the details.
The great room is the heart of the place. Curved sectional, hammered brass coffee table, cast iron radiators, sputnik chandelier, and floor-to-ceiling windows dressed in forest velvet. A large horse photograph anchors the wall.
The primary bedroom has a king with a herringbone walnut headboard and Coop linens — the same brand used at the Ritz-Carlton and Four Seasons. The framed Wyoming state flag above the bed flew over the state capitol.
The second bedroom has its own character: vintage Wyoming travel posters, terracotta drapes, a wool blanket, and its own cast iron radiator. Also a king. Also Coop linens.
The sitting area between the two bedrooms has a travertine table and green velvet chairs — good for coffee in the morning or a card game at night.
The kitchen is fully stocked for real cooking. The bathroom is clean and functional. Central air and heat throughout.
Out back: two Adirondack chairs off the back door, a six-person dining table, and a propane grill. Two more Adirondack chairs on the covered front porch. The backyard runs about 100 feet wide — unusually large for a home this close to town.
Downtown Sheridan is a 10-minute walk. So is Sackett’s Market and Emerson Park, which connects to walking trails throughout town. Pets welcome.

My name is Tyler, and I've proudly called Sheridan home for the past 17 years. I began my career in the railroad industry and later transitioned into hospitality and small business ownership. For the past five years, I've hosted guests across four well-maintained short-term rental units, combining thoughtful design with genuine, local hospitality. Along side my wife, I also co-own Real Deals on Home Decor & Boutique in downtown Sheridan, where we help bring style and character into local homes. We share our lives with three dogs- Bailey, Olive, and Hattie B-who keep things lively. Hosting is more than a business for me-it's a way to share what makes Sheridan special with visitors from near and far.
